Pulled Pork on a Bun

Directions

  1. Trim fat off pork shoulder.
  2. Place in deep ovensafe pan (or crockpot works on low).
  3. Generously rub mix all over pork shoulder.
  4. Pour water into pan with pork until the shoulder is ¾ covered.
  5. Put lid on or cover tight with tinfoil and place in oven at 350°F
    for 5 – 6 hours.
  6. Pull pork out of juices and shred immediately.
  7. Add BBQ sauce and place on soft roll.
  8. Serve with side of coleslaw and corn-on-the-cob.

Ingredients

  • 1 pork shoulder (fat trimmed)
  • 2 cups water
  • tinfoil
  • BBQ Sauce
  • rolls or hamburger buns

 

Dry Rub Mixture

  • 3 tbsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp sweet paprika
  • 3 tbsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp dry mustard
  • 1 tbsp hot pepper flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
